Job Bank is Canada’s national employment service, accessible through both a website and mobile app. It helps both Canadian citizens and foreigners find jobs and plan their careers, while also simplifying the recruitment process for employers across the country.
In 1980, the Canadian government launched one of the first public computer networks, called “Cantel,” to improve service delivery. This network, available in public spaces across the country, allowed Canadians to search for job opportunities nationwide through the National Job Bank database.
